PRIVATE GROUP TOURS

Private tours for groups (minimum 20) are most welcome all year round by arrangement.  Catering can be arranged if required, ranging from light lunches, cream teas, home-made cake, or simply tea, coffee and biscuits.

St Mary’s Church is in the grounds close by and may also be visited. For groups we can also arrange for a Barrel Organ recital.  Of all the remaining barrel organs in England, perhaps none has a more idyllic and typical setting than the one here at Avington.

TESTIMONIALS

Thank you for making the occasion so pleasant, aided of course by the treasures that the house contains and the wonderful setting. Rosemary – Salisbury NT. Aug 2018

All our retirees had so many nice things to say about the trip, the house and the surroundings. A beautiful house set in amazing countryside right on our doorstep. Ingrid – IBM Hursley Retirees Club. May 2018

The setting is idyllic and so beautfiul in the sunshine. The house has a very interesting history, and the owners have been very well connected over the years, and it’s nice at the same time that it’s not too big. Tea in the gardens was lovely too. Thank you again. We look forward to visiting again soon. Mr Keeping. May 2018

A group of my members visited Avington Park yesterday and we loved it.  The house was very interesting and the lunch was delicious – the best Christmas meal we’ve had.  We were guided round the house by Helen and she knew her stuff definitely.  And thank you for all you did to make it possible. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone said what a delightful spot for the house to be located.  The house was very impressive, both inside and out and the tour of the house was very interesting (thanks to Helen’s informative talk) and to finish off the day with a cream tea, what more could people want!  Vanessa Chamberlaine – Hillingdon U3A  July 2016
