Treat yourselves to a Cream Tea Picnic in the grounds of Avington Park with the option of a guided tour of the house. For now, we will be taking bookings for Monday 10th August, with further dates to be publish soon.

Ample space to relax and take in the beautiful views of the stately home and lake. Just bring along your picnic blanket or chairs and we will supply the individual cream tea picnic box. We will also be offering guided tours of inside the house at 1pm and 3pm, these will be limited to 10 people per tour. ADVANCE BOOKING ONLY.

The Cream Tea Picnic Box will include a homemade scone, a pot of jam and a pot of clotted cream, plus a slice of homemade cake, with a napkin, disposable spoon and knife. Tea and coffee facilities (disposable cup) will be provided for you to help yourself.

Cream Tea Picnics at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3pm 

Guided Tour at 1pm and 3pm followed by a Cream Tea Picnic

Opening measures listed below:

  • Pre booked cream teas to be enjoyed on the south or west lawn – please note individual picnic areas are not marked out, groups to comply with the 2 metre social distancing protocols throughout their visit.
  • Both entrances to the park open, parking directions on arrival.
  • Tea and coffee facilities (disposable cup) will be provided for you to help yourself
  • Toilets will be open
  • Pre booked system allows us to track and trace should we receive notification of anyone testing positive for Covid-19
  • Please bring your own picnic blankets and/or chairs
  • Critically, please do not visit Avington Park if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or should be self-isolating.
  • Grounds only open for those who have pre booked

At Avington we have a responsibility to care for and conserve our site, and to maintain the safety of our visitors, staff, tenants and livestock.  We therefore do not permit any unapproved or unscheduled drone use on or over Avington Park.
